Another Part of our Journey

So...we've lived in Grande Prairie for almost a year now. I know that we were meant to move up here, I'm not sure why, but that doesn't matter to me. We did what we felt was right for us at the time. So we find ourselves in similar circumstances, as we've decided to move back home...to Magrath. What really started us on this idea was because Richards work permit expires at the end of this month, and we have yet to get his renewal back to us yet. So as you can see, we didn't have much choice, but I believe that things are working out the way they're supposed to. We've had a really tough year...REALLY TOUGH!!!! It's really hard being so far away from family. So, we'll be moving back and staying with my parents until Richard can work again. We're so excited to be with family. One thing I for sure have learned is how much I love and appreciate my family. They mean so much to me. I'm so thankful for them, and CAN'T WAIT to be with them again soon!!

BIGGEST THING WE'LL MISS

Our Ward Family! Besides our ward back in Idaho Falls...we have not had a ward that we have felt so loved and welcome in. The members up here in Grande Prairie are so AMAZING! They've done nothing but make us feel so welcomed and apart of their families. I'm REALLY going to miss the kids in my primary class. I was sitting in primary yesterday and I got really sad, almost even started to cry because I'm really going to miss teaching those kids. They are such amazing kids. They teach me so many things every week, and I'll really miss their sweet and strong spirits and testimonies.

Well...it's 9:45. I've been packing most of the day, and Richards been busy too. I know it's late, but I'm going to make a cake, lol. I know it's late but that's ok. It'll be a nice treat for him when he gets home! Ok...NIGHT!!

Hey Mindy,
I am so happy that you're moving back here. I have missed you lots and can't wait to hang out with you more. I am sorry that you feel sad about leaving your "ward family" I am sure you have made some good friends but hopefully you can keep in touch with them over the internet because...... They can't have you!!! LOL Good job on the blog by the way!!! You should be a spokesperson for the cutest blog on the block! FO SHO!

Magrath Days...

Well, as usual I've waited a long time to post something. Nothing really new or exciting has gone on, so I use that as an excuse I suppose. OF COURSE it's not a good excuse, but I use it as one none the less. Yest., was Magrath Days, and it was super fun! The parade was great. We sat with my parents and the Towells. After that, we had a nice lunch at my parents house, where everyone in the fam. was their. I was able to participate in something really fun in the afternoon. Back in November, 2008 our young womens class did a time capsule where we wrote letters to ourselves. Our teach at that time, also made a video of us during one of our activities. I must say, I was SUCH A DORK! But if that's the worst thing I can say, then I'm doing pretty good right?! Anyway, it was fun to read the words that I hoped for myself. Six Months...

I sure wish that I was better at this...but here I am 6 months later...oops! Well it was a super busy summer.  We put off doing any renos in our house and did outside renos.  Our project this year was taking down our old fence, and putting up a new one.  We unfortunately didn't get everything else done that we needed to. I'm sure we could have gotten the other projects done if money (which seems to ALWAYS be the problem right??!)   hadn't have been in our way! But oh well..I'm thankful that we got as far as we did.  This past week the weather started to get super cold, so I think that we're outta luck for finishing up anything else for outside this year. I am really excited.....because this is my favorite time of the year.  Richard and I make our Halloween Costumes every year(at least this is the 4th year) and it's been so much fun. This year we're dressing up as Mario and Princess Peach.  It's going to be great.   So we've got that on the

happy birthday to my man...

Happy Birthday Richard! Wow...THE BIG 29 lol! We are now the same age for SIX MONTHS! So as I sit here, on the couch with the streamers/balloons up, pancakes and bacon cooked(Richards favorite b-day breakfast), while Richard is still snoring away I can't help but think of how grateful I am for today. BECAUSE OF TODAY.... * We were able to meet on my Mission * We have been been "together" for 8 years * We have been married for 7 1/2 years * my life is compelte * our "someday" children will have the BESTEST FATHER EVER! * my life has been changed forever!! I love Richard, so much that it's nutso ...LOVELY! There have been so many GREAT THINGS happening right now in our lives, and I'm so excited for 2011 because I get to spend another year with Richard!
