Our floors are almost done....
Hi All
So it's been a crazy few weeks. Thanksgiving was fabulous I must say...we decided to have Ham instead of Turkey to mix things up a bit and it was soooo good! I know what you're all thinking....Ham is she SERIOUS I'm so proud of her! haha but yes I am serious. I typically HATE ham, but Richard did such a good job with this one...I couldn't resist! I'm going to put some pics
down below so you can see our fabulous spread!
We got our living room floors almost done! So excited. We just have to add some transition strips and voila....finished. I am so happy to be rid of our old nasty carpets. They were in such rough shape(mainly because of our cats). It just makes everything feel so much more fresh and clean.
So...around last weekend I started to get sick-I got a fever and started hacking away. Richard then got it on Sunday night and we've been sick all week....SO MUCH FUN RIGHT? j/k We went to the Dr. and he told us we were both contagious-even lovlier right? I hate being sick. It just makes everything you want to do take so much longer. Richard is feeling much better, and I am too for the most part. I still get out of breathe really fast, and I am still coughing like crazy...but we're hoping that will go away sooner than later.
Ok so last weekend I started working on some super cute Christmas Crafts. I'm going to try to work on them today(if I can muster up enough energy).
Speaking of crafts we're going to be doing a fun Christmas Craft day on November 3rd and I'm super excited. less then 2 weeks and I get to decorate for Christmas. Speaking of which I have this picture that I found on the internet a few years ago that I absolutely adore. I've always wanted to blow it up and frame it, but just never got around to doing it. This year...I finally did it. It is a picture of Santa kneeling to baby Jesus...how precious right? I just love the meaning behind the picture. The artist is Gaye Francis Willard and the name of the picture is "Every knee shall Bow"...just in case you were wondering. Well...I better jet. If I plan on getting anything accomplished I better get started. Enjoy the pics and have a fabulous day!!!
Our yummy Thanksgiving Ham
Our Thanksgiving Spread...even though it's kind
of a crappy picture!
Cutie Bella sleeping(like usual)
Our nasty carpet
Taking out the carpet-here's the underlay...it was such a
giant pain because they had stapled it to the ground...
and there were A LOT of staples that had to be removed.
Richard had to build a floor under neath before putting
down the new floors as it was too low
Starting to put in the new floors.... we would have loved
darker floors, but considering our cupboards, back splash
and counter tops are darker...it would have been over kill!
We're done!!!
Here's the Santa picture...there's a total glare
over baby Jesus....sorry.
Here's the floor with our sectional put back into place
And here's another shot of it...as Bella decides to be in the
picture at the last second! )
