What a summer!
This summer has flown by...and we have been super busy!!!! It's nice to know that things should start to slow down now...and we can breathe!
Here's a brief recap of our summer fun...
-July 1st week Richard and I traveled down to Idaho for the 1st Annual Roth Family Reunion...and had a total blast! Oh...let me back up. We got a new camper trailer, and we looooove it! It is so awesome. We were able to bring it down to Idaho with us. We camped for a few nights up near Island park and that was so much fun. Oh how I love having a new trailer...I will never camp again without it! I mean seriously, who wouldn't love being out in the middle of no where with a flushing toilet and a shower????
After that week in Idaho My Aunt Sharon who lives in Ontario arrived for a 5 week holiday. We then traveled up to Edmonton the weekend we got back from Idaho so Richard could take his "English" test which is a required test one must take to apply for Canadian Citizenship(and BTW...he scored as high as you can...he's awesome!)
The next weekend it was my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary, and we threw a surprise Anniversary party for them...and it was a THEME PARTY!!! OH YEAH! It was so much fun...the theme was the roaring 1920's. It was so much fun.
Then we celebrated Magrath days the last weekend of July.
In August....
August 3rd My baby sister Miranda was married to her sweetheart...and I inherited another brother...we're such a lucky family to have Adam in our family now. He is such an awesome person...with a heart of gold!
Oh my...I must say that I had so much fun visiting with my Aunt Sharon. I hadn't seen her for 15 years...and that's WAY WAY WAY TOO LONG! We had so much fun together. We made so many fond memories...
- We could hardly contain ourselves while making fruit shiskabobs(spell???)...
- We were able to go camping together
- We got to go have several campfires and learned of the super smart invention of the smore maker
- We went to see The Lone Ranger...and laughed our heads off...
- I got to watch "storage wars" with Sharon(the first time I'd ever watched it)...and that was great!
....and many more great times.
Richard and I were able to travel down to Idaho again for Chloe and Dallons wedding...and what a special day it was. We sure love them...
and then our summer has finally come to a close with our ward campout that was last weekend!
Busy summer right? Right! Not to mention that we've done a lot of work outside...our project this weekend is to finish repairing our "green house". This last winter's wind completely destroyed it and we use it as our storage shed so we have to get that finished before the weather gets cold.
I have to say I am soooooo excited for the fall. It is totally my favorite season. I love how the leaves turn beautiful colors, wearing warm sweaters...and feeling cozy cuddled watching movies(and of course when fall comes around...that means Christmas isn't far behind).
Well that's all I have to report for now. I'm sooo totally tired. Now that summer has slowed down, hopefully I will get my butt in gear and post more.
Night all...:)
