Count your Many Blessings...

Today is a post about blessings....and how thankful I am for mine.  Some of my most tressured blessings are: *My Heavenly Father & Savior- and the knowledge that I have been blessed with in regards to Religion. *My husband *My Family(both My side and Richards :) *MUSIC....MUSIC....MUSIC!!!! Oh how I love music. *My home *Having a reliable vehicle *Our Kitties :) *My Friends *The opportunity that I have to live in a free country and this list goes on...and on...and on. What brought this topic up?  Well both Richard and I got a raise today at work...and I have to say I am so thankful!  It really is appreciated by us and we both feel so blessed to work for such a great company who really cares about their employees.   Richard and I were talking about this other day...and how it's so easy to just want "more".  For example, you get something which is "more" than what you're used to(like a vacation)...and after getting used to th...

What a summer!

This summer has flown by...and we have been super busy!!!!  It's nice to know that things should start to slow down now...and we can breathe! Here's a brief recap of our summer fun... -July 1st week Richard and I traveled down to Idaho for the 1st Annual Roth Family Reunion...and had a total blast!  Oh...let me back up.  We got a new camper trailer, and we looooove it!  It is so awesome.  We were able to bring it down to Idaho with us.  We camped for a few nights up near Island park and that was so much fun.  Oh how I love having a new trailer...I will never camp again without it!  I mean seriously, who wouldn't love being out in the middle of no where with a flushing toilet and a shower????  After that week in Idaho My Aunt Sharon who lives in Ontario arrived for a 5 week holiday.  We then traveled up to Edmonton the weekend we got back from Idaho so Richard could take his "English" test which is a required test one must take to a...

Wassup??

Hello all!!! Wow...can you believe that is is May already?  OH...and we're not just in May...but we're over half way through it!  Nutso!  This year has just been flying by.  Well...last weekend was our first camp-out of the season, and it was a blast!  My mom and dad, Sister Miranda and her family, and Richard and I all went.  We didn't go to far, just a really nice campsite in Raymond.  It was so much fun!  I sure love camping(as long as we're in a nice warm camping trailer-where it's more cozy, and there's less dirt and less bugs!!!  The weather wasn't the greatest, but we dealt with it, and still had fun.  Richard and I(and anyone else that wants to tag along)...are going to try to go camping every other weekend this summer.  We really want to get use out of our camper trailer. That leads me to my next exciting pieces of news(that most of you will probably already know about) is that we traded in our Mazda Car for a Dodg...

I'm bad...and that's good????

Ok....so if you have not had the opportunity to watch Wreck it Ralph...you need to!!!!  It is now one of our favorite movies.  It has so much cute humor in it, plus a nice feel good story line.   They have a "bad guys" group where they have meetings weekly to discuss their frustrations on being the bad guys.  They all say a chant(if that's what you call it??) which is: "I'm Bad, and that's good, I will never be good and that's not bad, there's no one I'd rather be...than me". I love that.  It says/means a lot in my opinion.   Ralph is not bad...he's just the "bad guy" in his video game.  He's got a good heart and a good soul.   So... you are probably wondering why I'm posting about this right?   I have really been trying hard lately to not just assume someone is what I think they are just by looking at them...you know the whole don't judge a book by it's cover kind of thing.  It's working...

It was our Choice...

Happy Sabbath everyone! Today has been an especially good day...miracles I guess do exist right?? I have really been struggling lately with my primary class.  I teach Sunbeams and today I had 7 children in my class(and not all of the children were even here!) In the past weeks since starting my new class, I have left church feeling extremely discouraged, and defeated.  I have come home and literally cried and just felt very low.   BUT...today was better.  It was not perfect(not by a long shot), but to try to focus on the positive I felt so much better when the children left the class today.  This has a lot to do with me believing in miracles at this point!! I am so thankful to my Heavenly Father for helping me today, because I went to my class with very HIGH anxiety and full of stress....but I'm so thankful to say that I left with complete opposite feelings.   This "trial" for me has made me really think the past month or so. A long time...

Would ya look at that...!

Ok, so this is just a quick post...that no one but myself may really care about.   So since we've been back from California, life has been SO BUSY and in the midst of everything I now have the flu.  YUCK!  It's no fun I will tell you that, and I'll spare you of all the gory details, haha.  I decided not to go to church today because I felt so miserable, but feel like I'm going stir crazy in the house, so I made a breakfast quiche. I made the crust from scratch and it actually tasted REALLY good (if I do say so myself :)   I wanted to upload some pics of it...just because I'm proud of myself.  This may not be a big deal to many people, but I feel like for me to make something like this...and have it taste good is definitely an accomplishment!   Bon appetite!)                   The homemade crust...oooh I know it's not too pretty but it tasted mi...

WOW...it's been a very fun and exhausting few days.  I feel totally exhausted, but have had so much fun. Richard and some other co-workers are at a google conference here in Oakland, CA and I was able to come along to be with Richard....SA-WEET!!!  We spent this past Friday night in Great Falls, MT, and then flew out to California on Saturday morning.  We've had a lot of fun so far.  After we checked into the hotel,we traveled to the BART(train) which took us to San Francisco.  I must admit taking the BART was a bit freaky at times because of the high crime rates here but we survived it...and I can now say that I've been on a train! lol We went to Pier 39 and I got a beautiful pearl from an Oyster and I am going to attach it to a chain for a necklace, we also took a ride on a bike carriage.  I'm not really sure what the real name for it is, but Richard and I shared a seat and a man riding a bike pulled us.  It was actually a lot of fun!  W...
