I'm bad...and that's good????

  Ok....so if you have not had the opportunity to watch Wreck it Ralph...you need to!!!!  It is now one of our favorite movies.  It has so much cute humor in it, plus a nice feel good story line.   They have a "bad guys" group where they have meetings weekly to discuss their frustrations on being the bad guys.  They all say a chant(if that's what you call it??) which is: "I'm Bad, and that's good, I will never be good and that's not bad, there's no one I'd rather be...than me". I love that.  It says/means a lot in my opinion.   Ralph is not bad...he's just the "bad guy" in his video game.  He's got a good heart and a good soul.   So... you are probably wondering why I'm posting about this right?   I have really been trying hard lately to not just assume someone is what I think they are just by looking at them...you know the whole don't judge a book by it's cover kind of thing.  It's working...

They're really listening...promise!

About 1 1/2 months ago...maybe even 2 months(sorry I don't remember) Richard and I were called to teach CTR 6&7 year olds in our ward.  For me, primary is my comfort zone...for the most part.  I love to teach children anywhere from 4-5 yrs old and up.  It's just something I feel for the most part confident and comfortable with.  Anyway...I have learned a lot in the short time that Richard and I have been teaching. As some of you may know, usually with each primary lesson comes different stories to tell the children. When I read the stories, I like to speak in a very slow and quiet voice.  I find this helps the children focus better.  We were talking about the Holy Ghost.  I was telling them about a story of a young boy who over heard his parents talking about his older brother who was serving a mission in a foreign country.  There had been a huge earthquake in this city where his brother was serving, and his parents were very scared for thei...

You've got to....

Do you know why I love February?  Because it's a month dedicated to love.  Now I'm not talking about buying that "special someone" some chocolates or flowers.  Sure, it's nice to get flowers and chocolate right?!  Who doesn't love getting pampered with goodies?   I want to take a different direction with February...the love month.  I want to branch out a little....here let me show you what I mean...and as cheesy as it is listen all the way through... Now...do you get where I'm going with things?  We need to show more love to each other!  How many times have we heard "if people would just show more love, more kindness this world would be a better place"?  Well...it's true isn't it?   February gives us an excuse to be better.  Not that we NEED a reason to show love, but it gives us a little push...a little shove in the right direction.  We don't need to only show love to those we know, but everyone around us....
